Skin Care Questions
Skin Care: Questions and Answers
Skin care is not complicated at all, consistency and usage of
right products is the key. However, there are frequently asked questions which
we are going to address today, to help people resolve their queries.
Q1. What causes acne?
A: As every individual is different from each other, so is
their skin. Doctors have no clue for why some people get acne and some do not. Stress
and Hormonal balance plays vital role in triggering acne. On the outer side
clogged pores and usage of makeup can cause acne as well.
The best way to deal
with acne is to wash the face gently with acne free face wash and do not scrub
or exfoliate.
Q2. How can I avoid wrinkles?
Wrinkles are a result of aging as a natural process, but you can take measures to prevent them for
long time.
Minimize sun exposure and wear sun block with broad spectrum. Drink plenty
of water and keep the skin hydrated by applying a good quality moisturizer.
Q3. How to handle a sensitive skin?
Be gentle with your sensitive skin. Be extra conscious to try out
new products. Always chose the products which are specifically formulated for
sensitive skin.
Q4. Is sunscreen necessary for daily use?
Yes! It is. If you really care for your skin, you need to
wear sunscreen on daily basis before going out. It protects the skin from
harmful UV rays to combat risk of cancer. Also, it helps in fighting aging
signs such as fine lines, wrinkles and crow feet etc.
Q5. How can I find my skin type?
Skin is classified in five categories like normal, oily,
dry, combination and sensitive. If your skin is one type for certain period of
time and its another type for another period of time; it means you have a combination
skin. If it remains very dry and itches even after consistent application of moisturizer,
then it means you have a dry skin. If your face produces oil, even if you do
not apply any moisturizer and wake up with an oily nose, it means you have an
oil skin. If your skin is prone to reactions, most of the time, that means you
have a sensitive skin.
Skin type also changes from time to time and due to age
factors.
Q6. How to whiten skin? (Mostly asked by eastern women)
There is nothing which can actually change your skin tone, until you use whitening injections or go for surgery. But, there are products in
the market which can help in lightening your skin to some extent.
We would
suggest that instead of dreaming for changing color tone, you should work on
brightness of the skin. Eat fruits and vegetables and drink plenty of water to
make it fresh and glowing. A glowing and healthy skin makes the person look
attractive, no matter which color you have.
